The political and social situation here in Maldives is getting worse ..day by day..the Moral values of the youth are far beyond that of the western countries...most people live a so-called 'Islamic' life ..only because they dont have any choice...But still there is a..some strange and rare kind of "Islamic " spirit created by the baathist style government under the al-azhar educated maumoon abdul gayoum.-we would discuss this strange spirit which is revived on the nights of ramadan by speeches from maumoon and his friendly azhar preachers with further details ,some other time).Maumoon is now heading towards the more-western style system (still with the baathist style islamic spirit) as he is under pressure for being less or not enough-secular and due to the fall of the old arab regimes in the so-called winds of change(the democracy bonfire).Now let us see how this maumoonic islamic system works...every now and then they yell out someone is trying to spread christianity..(which infact is something the common Maldivians fear most..but now things are changing a bit).Accusation of spreading christianity is a very powerful tool the Government of Maldives use, to control the political situations here.They can arrest and do (what ever they want) if some one is accused of doing it...any one who defends that person is ..again accused of spreading christianity.'When our country is sinking in to a deep sea of sex,drugs,ignorance and maumoonee Islam',when homosexuality,drug abuse and open illegal sexual intercourse is getting more and more common,atheist philosophical thinking, and Islamic extremism is gaining popularity among the new generation...the only thing these stoopid mullahs are concerned about,seems to be...resisting the spread of christianity...but we must remember jews and christians are closer to us than a follower of any other religion..they are closer to us than any other civilisation...now i am not calling to build churches in Maldives..What i want to say is...The government dont want Maldives to be very Islamic and civilized..all they want is power...they have never wanted to protect Islam...let us see how truthful are the hate breeding speeches these power hungry,arab-baathist style, half secular/western, government give are...let us see how they make fools of us citizens!..Christianity is spreading at the same rate (or faster) it had been spreading here years back..the opportunities are there..but these Maldivian people are too stubborn (i wouldnt dare say faithful) to giveup the traditional islam (with maumoonic elements in it) which they are practicing now.This easy-to- practice version of islam is the only thing which stops the spread of christianity in Maldives.The government have left.. the christian internet web pages unblocked(written in dhiviehi or atleast targeted to Maldivians..)The government have never blocked these pages..but they used to block Atheist Sappe's Dhivehi Observer and other Anti-maumoon web pages...Now that proves something..that proves 'The current government protects nothing, but the dictator (in the name of protecting islamic values)' As for the rest of what i want to say..lets go through these pics ive got..

As for sheikh gayoum, he is a very gud friend of the west and arabs too (gud example of a two-faced hypocrite)He have been given honorary titles by himself,the arab dictator regimes,the puppets of NWO; western countries and movements...One very famous honour he had received is the famous GCMG from the queen of england.He was welcomed with much celebrations (songs of praise and glorifying) when came back after recieving it from the queen...
Gayoums predecessor Ibrahim Nasir,also recieved a honorary title from the queen.. we can remember that during Ibrahim Nasir's rule, a Christian evangelical programme was broadcasted in English every night from Voice of Maldives radio. The Maldives government was paid to allow these shortwave broadcasts which were intended for India and Sri Lanka as well as Maldives. Most students attending English medium schools in Male' regularly tuned in. In 1972, a Christian missionary ship MV Logos visited Male' and school students were shown aboard 'with the blessing of President Nasir'.The students received free Bibles..Maumoon is doing the same stuff now...but more secretly.Every time maumoon is criticized by the arabs for punishing extremists (and non extremist) Islamic citizens..or helping missionary programmes,he says it is not true..but goes to the western masters and say.."well they are islamic fundamentalists who need to be punished..we never punish missionaries" And when christian missionaries are punished ..he would boast of it at the arab castles...but when questioned by westerners..he would say.."no..thats not simply true..Maldives have a very tolerant attitude towards all religions"...but the reality is; he neither works for the citizens,the arabs or the westerners...he just works for himself only..(and we must tell our leaders..we dont want to be under arab influence or western influence...we want to be free..but in the way of truth.)

The common form of democracy prevalent at the moment is representative democracy, in which the citizens do not exercise their right of legislating and issuing political decrees in person, but rather through representatives chosen by them. The constitution of a democratic country will be largely influenced by the needs and wants of its people. Thus, if its people want casinos, bars, gay marriages, prostitution, etc. then with sufficient public pressure, all these vices can be accommodated for. From this, it becomes simple to understand that there can never be scope for a democratic rule from the Islamic point of view.

well... dirty politics thats what. as for christianity, i wont be for or against it. as much as i'd love to live in the "ideal islamic country of my childhood" (which by the way existed only in my head), i cant help thinking that change is inevitable. i am sure some of our ancestors were against the spread of islam when the king ordered everyone to convert. hmm i wonder if one day we'll have to be fighting christian fundamentalism like in the southern US. lol. maybe some guy would be pushing someone off Olympus stage to heal him of blindness. or there'll be some cult of mass suicide or some other weirdness to atone for the sins. keke. anyways i guess by then the govt will be fighting against spread of atheism or secularism or something. weird. govts will always be corrupt. lets just all live happily for once.

We are always looking for some Utopian state aren't we? When America was first settled by the Puritan Christians their intention was to bring about a society that would perfectly represent God's Kingdom, but we see how long that lasted and what they have now.
I doubt your country will have any better luck in creating a perfect Utopian society be it under Islam or Christianity or Communism or whatever. Although your current system certainly allows for greater control and oppression of peoples rights to choose how to live and what to believe.
Your leaders will ultimately govern by and exploit whatever philosophy will allow them to stay in power and amass ore power. That is what you can be sure of.
i wonder why christians live in Mldives secretly when they know this is the only way of salvation. come on go ahead, let us go to a common platforms and discuss about in public. so we will decide who is speaking the truth.if any christian needs to speak about christianity and islam either in English or in Dhivehi, im ever ready anywhere anytime. let me prove to whole world from any version of your bible that you chrisians understand just the opposite of the teachings of Jesus (pbuh). He wonders why Christians live in the Maldives secretly? Hmmm let's see maybe because it's illegal to be a Christian there. There is no such thing as an equal platform to discuss religion in the Maldives. There is only imprisonment and persecution. What is Islam so afraid of? Why do you need to control so much?

Democracy is coming to the Maldives part of this will be religious tolerance where people are free to worship.
There are numerous verses in the Holy Quran that commands us humans to look for the signs of the Creator. In fact we have to try to understand the universe through science and mathematics to fully comprehend the dominion of an omnipotent Creator.
Islam as a religion is not afraid to address to Christianity nor any other religion. This is a common misconception a lot of us have.
The real issue is with us Muslims. We are afraid of addressing these issues, which I personally think is because we are weak in faith.
Why are we weak in faith? Because we've not been taught Islam properly. For us Islam was just another subject at school.
If you honestly did look for the truth and prayed to God to show you guidance then you will find it. Islam is perfect, the imperfection is just within us humans. The only way we can reduce this imperfection is by following the human being who was perfected by God, i.e. following the Sunnah of Mohammad (SAW).
I do not see anything wrong with reading Judo-Christian literature. Read the Bible(s), the gospels. Listen to people who've converted FROM Islam to Christianity. But at the same time, read the Quran, with its Tafsir. Look at the fundamentals of these religions and ponder over what you read.
To me personally, one of the most beautiful things in Islam is Islamic Monotheism (Tawheed). I could not find a single thing that I would like to argue against this wonderful principle. This is something Christianity and Judaism failed to deliver.
