atulaaastu. i have some flork the international. one of the funniest dhivehi comedies ever. but its not just me, every one live FTI.after i posted bakhabaru here on my blog people have been asking me continuously if i have cant publish FTI (like i have access to the video libraries of TVM!).Cmon it just came my way. i ripped the dvd, edited (cropped, joined,made em 3 files) and published it. so i just had to wait for FTI to come my way.

This time it was on youtube. midnightmaldives had these on her/his playlist. I just ripped em and joined the files to make each FTI episode a single video file. Its just that they are so special to me i want it among my videos and on my blog too.as one single file.maybe one day he/she might delete the youtube account (is that even possible?). who knows. then i will have my backups. anyway for whatever reason, i am going to post or lets say re-post all FTI videos here on my blog. then again these aint in good condition for various reasons. whatever.who cares. here they are.the next three posts on this blog will be 3 FTI episodes.wooohoo!!!

Good news for Ismail Wajeeh fans -like me- all over the world.The legendary Mollywood star might not be in Maldives (hez in singapore,trying to get his kids a good education.. good man!), but he is with us again.Yes, he is on facebook and he do have a fanclub there (with members reaching 500 now!) . At this fanclub you can ask him questions and he is having fun with all of his fans.Therriz a great collection of pictures and now even videos are coming. So.. dont forget to join "Ismail Wajeeh FANS" on face book.

Now im gonna share this awsome video uploaded to the facebook group by one of his fans. Eid mubaarik to all of you.old is gold they say, and old maldivian comedies are good, much better than the crap they give us now (except for shaazu,yousay and few others hehe).of all oldies ... Fuloak the international was my favourite, and dhiriulhumakee and ofcourse the oldest of the three i guess; Bakhabaru.They (the bakhabaru guys) were like the maldivian three stooges, i heard that there was a radio comedy show by these guys by name ' hinifulhu vaduvaalavvamaa' ... anywayz..this time it is bakhabaru. i'll be posting all the bakhabarus ive got.first episode coming soon.in a min or two.hope you'll enjoy my eedhu hadhiyaa.

Naifaru Dhohokko Collection.

Here are some songs (43 songs! 58 songs!) from the famous Maldivian singer and musician, Naifaru Dhohokko. Dhohokko be' was nominated as the singer of the century (on 2000, by Adduvas Weekly). He was,and still is the favorite singer for thousands of Maldivians, especially among the older generations.We can see this by the fact that in TV programs like 'Alhuganduge Hovun' and Radio programs 'Dhathuthuverinnaai eku'....in almost all of the programs there would be a request for a song from Dhohokko be'. Most of the time they will say "Any song by Dhohokko be' will be o.k for me!".His songs were mostly romantic and love poetry.They were known for the good poetry and his own,unique style of performing.Even if his music were copied from hindi songs; he made it all (as he have said) 'dhohokkobized'.He had a certain standard of performing, for example; he would refuse to perform, if he is not happy with the percussion section.There are very few people who are fit to be in his 'band'.And about poetry, he was very concerned about maintaining the standard of his lyrics.They all had a touch of (not just a touch...a whole lot of em!) Urdu language.

Even today he is a favorite for many Maldivians; young and old ,though some youngsters find his music humorous,disgusting,not-music,not amilla raagu,out dated,not understandable....etc!

whatever. here are the songs.In the memory of Dhohokko be' and his songs that entertained thousands of Maldivians.May his soul rest peacefully.Amen!

I Love to Singa

this is another oldie i like.first i saw it from among Looney Tunes Golden Collections CDs i got from a friend (axxe).all the kewl,gold shorts were there...aahhh...how beauuuutiful.and suddenly it was lost.(someone kavvaalee).

,...after i saw it from axxe...again i saw it on "Looney Tunes: Back in Action"....(when that bad guy changes channels)...and on my favorite; southpark! For those who dunno what "i wanna singa" is....and what the hell im posting here... please read this wikipedia article here.

But i saw it on youtube..and this version is very clear,unlike all other ones on youtube.you can also download it from that link there on the page.
